Quand j'ai accepté le rôle de Chef Intérim pour CZUL et ensuite Chef, les choses étaient différentes. Il n'y avait peu de personnes actives dans la FIR de Montréal et je crois que depuis le temps où j'ai pris ce rôle jusqu'à maintenant, nous avons fait d'énormes améliorations à cet égard.When I accepted the role of CZUL Interim Chief, and then Chief, things were different. There was little to no one active in the Montréal FIR and I think that from the time I took the role to now, we have made huge improvements in that regard.
J'ai pu utiliser ma vision de la FIR comme une inspiration et une motivation. Pendant mon temps en tant que chef, j'ai atteint la plupart des objectifs que je me suis fixé lorsque je suis entré: recréer un environnement de formation adéquat et remplir toutes les positions de staff avec du personnel permanent et compétent. Ces deux points étaient les plus importants et je pense que mon personnel et moi avons fait un bon travail jusqu'à présent.I was able to use my vision of the FIR as an inspiration and a motivation. During my time as a chief I was able to achieve most of the goals I set up when I entered: Recreating an adequate training environment and filling all the staff positions with competent permanent people were the two most important and I think my staff and I did a good job so far.
Je suis maintenant dans une position où je pense que la plupart des choses importantes sont faites et je manque d'inspiration, mais surtout de direction. J'ai toujours agi pour le bien de la FIR en premier et je le ferai toujours. J'adore donner du temps à ce hobby, mais je dois aussi mentionner que j'ai un standard très élevé envers moi-même en tant que chef de CZUL en raison de mon amour pour Montréal, ce qui, après des années, peut avoir un effet négatif. Quand je regarde la situation dans son ensemble, je pense que dans l'état actuel de la FIR, si le poste de chef était ouvert, je verrais d'autres personnes qui pourraient assumer le rôle à ma place et j'aurai encore beaucoup de travail simplement avec mon rôle de webmestre pour CZUL que j'avais depuis avant d'être chef.I am now in a position where I think most of the important stuff is done and I lack inspiration, but most importantly direction. I was always thinking about the FIR first and will always be. I love giving some time to this hobby, but I must also mention that I have a very high standard for myself as the chief of CZUL due to my love for Montréal, which has taken a toll on me after years. When I look at the big picture, I think that in the current state of the FIR, if the chief position would be open, I would see other people that could take the role instead of me and I will still have a lot of work just with my role as CZUL webmaster that I had since before I was a chief.
Pour toutes ces raisons, je démissionne de mon poste de chef de la FIR Montréal. Évidemment, j'occuperai le poste jusqu'à ce que le prochain chef entre en fonction et la transition sera fluide.For all these reasons I am resigning as Montréal FIR Chief. Obviously I will occupy the role until the next chief comes into office and the transition will be fluid.
Personnellement, cette transition me permettra de me détendre et de profiter davantage de ce passe-temps. Je souhaite à tout le monde sur le réseau beaucoup de plaisir!Personally, this transition will allow me to loosen up and enjoy this hobby more. I wish everyone on the network a lot of fun!
